I’ve spent 22 years working in and with the big banks. I’ve been a bank manager, a business banking manager and a home finance manager across Westpac, CBA, NAB and MyState, and for the past few years I’ve worked as a local finance broker, helping clients secure more than $45 million in funding so far for new homes, investment properties, renovations and even cars. That depth of experience is what you benefit from when you work with me: I know how lenders assess an application, and which lenders are going to work for you.
Based in Brisbane and working with clients across Australia, I specialise in residential and investment lending, with real strength in the scenarios that aren’t straightforward. Complex income, multiple properties, investment structures, construction, debt consolidation: these are exactly the situations where knowing the right lender, not just the lowest rate, makes the difference between a decline and your next move.
Strategy Before Submission
The single biggest factor in getting a home loan approved is getting the strategy right before the application is submitted. Lender policies and servicing models vary far more than most people realise, so the work that matters happens before it hits the bank:
- I take the time to understand your full financial position, your goals, and where you want to be long term
- I compare lenders across our panel on how they will actually assess you, not just the headline rate
- I match you to the lender/s genuinely suited to your circumstances, which matters most when your income or structure is complex
- I manage the application from first conversation through to settlement and beyond, and head off issues before they become obstacles
Getting the finance strategy right the first time is the difference between a smooth path to loan approval and a frustrating one, and it’s where my experience proves its value for you.
Who I Help
I work with clients who want their lending managed expertly, and with care, from start to finish, including:
- Homebuyers and owner-occupiers purchasing or upgrading
- Property investors building and structuring a portfolio
- Clients refinancing to find a better loan structure, reduce repayments or consolidate debt
- Clients with complex income or multiple properties that need a partner in finance, not a tick box template
- Clients building, where construction finance has its own requirements
What This Means for You
Buying or refinancing a home is a big financial move, and you want it handled by someone who takes ownership of the process from start to finish. I treat every finance application with the care I would if it were my own.
My clients tell me I’m responsive, approachable and proactive, and that I take the time to genuinely understand what they need. I stay actively involved at every step, I keep you in the loop at all times, and I work hard to turn a situation that first looks hard into a yes. That’s the part of this work I find most satisfying.
Real Choice Across Our Lender Panel
As a finance consultant with Green Finance Group (GFG), I can compare competitive home and investment finance products from a panel of more than 60 banks and lenders.

Common FAQs
Q: Can you help if my income or financial situation is complex?
A: Yes, that’s a particular strength of mine. Complex income, multiple properties, investment structures and construction all need a lender whose policy actually fits you. After 22 years in banking and finance, I know which lenders offer loan products or policy to suit borrower circumstances, and I will pinpoint lender and loan options with you in mind, as opposed to trying to make you fit into a bank template.
Q: Why choose a broker with a banking background?
A: Because I’ve assessed and approved loans from inside the banks for years, so I know how an application is really judged and where it can come unstuck. You get the benefit of that: your finance structured the right way, matched to the right lender, for a smoother path to approval.
Q: Should I just go with the lowest interest rate?
A: Not necessarily. The lowest advertised rate is only useful if that lender will actually approve you and structure the loan to suit your goals. I compare lenders on how they will assess your full position, not just the headline number, so you end up with a loan that works for the long term.
Q: Do you only work with clients in Brisbane?
A: No. I’m based in Brisbane but I work with clients right across Australia. Most of the process happens by phone, email and online, so wherever you are, I can help.
Q: How much does it cost to use a mortgage broker?
A: In most cases, nothing. Brokers are generally paid a commission by the lender once your loan settles, so you get expert support and a full lender panel at no cost to you. I’ll always be upfront if anything about your situation is different.
